Thank You for Volunteering at the Rise Pantry!
We’re so grateful that you’ve chosen to volunteer at the Rise Pantry and be a part of making a real difference for over 500 families each week! Your support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you.
When You Arrive:
- Parking: Please park at 156 Maxwell Ave., just a short walk from our Pantry at 133 Broad St. (This helps ensure parking is available for our clients and neighbors.)
- Check-In: Volunteers can skip the line by using the Causer app or use the iPad inside the pantry to check in.
- Meet Your Team: Juan,Ihoann or one of our support staff will be there to warmly welcome you and guide you through the day’s tasks.
What to Bring & Wear:
- Please dress for the weather.
- Wear closed-toe shoes for safety.
- Please leave personal belongings in your vehicle.
Volunteer Tasks at Rise Pantry (133 Broad St., Hightstown):
- Sort & Organize Donations – Help sort and store donated food items by category.
- Unload Pallets – Assist in unloading food and supplies (may require lifting).
- Load Shopping Carts with Food – Prepare carts with food items for clients.
- Maintain Tidiness & Beautification – Keep the pantry organized and welcoming.
- Restock Shelves – Ensure shelves stay stocked and inventory is rotated.
- Assemble Community Bags – Pack food bags with essential items for distribution.
- Lift & Carry Heavy Groceries – Be prepared to lift up to 25+ pounds.
- Check Food Quality – Ensure items are fresh, undamaged, and safe for distribution.
Please Note: Volunteers must be flexible, as tasks may change depending on donations received and the needs of the day.
