When You Arrive:
- Parking: Please park at 156 Maxwell Ave., just a short walk from our Pantry at 133 Broad St. (This helps ensure parking is available for our clients and neighbors.)
- Check-In: Volunteers can skip the line by using the Causer app or using the iPad inside the pantry to check in.
- Meet Your Team: Juan, Ihoann or one of our support staff will be there to warmly welcome you and guide you through the day’s tasks.
What to Bring & Wear:
- Wear closed-toe shoes for safety.
- Please leave personal belongings in your vehicle.
Volunteer Tasks at Rise Pantry (133 Broad St., Hightstown):
- Sort & Organize Donations – Help sort and store donated food items by category.
- Unload Pallets – Assist in unloading food and supplies (may require lifting)
- Maintain Tidiness & Beautification – Keep the pantry organized and welcoming.
- Restock Shelves – Ensure shelves stay stocked and inventory is rotated.
- Check Food Quality – Ensure items are fresh, undamaged, and safe for distribution.
Please Note: Volunteers must be flexible, as tasks may change depending on donations received and the needs of the day.

We’re so excited to have you join the Rise Thrift team! As a volunteer, you’re playing an essential role in bringing affordable, quality goods to our community. From sorting donations to creating an inviting shopping experience, your contributions are key in making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Whether you’re pricing items, organizing displays, or helping customers find their perfect treasure, you’re making a huge impact – and we can’t wait to see the awesome energy you’ll bring to the space. Get ready to have fun, meet new people, and spread the joy of thrifting to everyone who walks through our doors!
Proceeds from Rise Thrift go directly back to Rise to support our vital services, programs, and summer camp. Plus, we’re able to give vouchers to clients in need, helping them access our thrift store for free or discounted items.

- Comfortable clothing

Tasks You Might Help With:
- Donation Receiving: Assist donors in unloading and sorting their items.
- Sorting & Processing: Organize items and get them ready for pricing.
- Tagging & Pricing: Add price tags and make sure everything is consistently priced.
- Visual Merchandising: Arrange and refresh displays to keep the shop looking fresh and fun.
- Shop Maintenance: Help keep the shop clean, organized, and inviting—both inside and outside.
- Customer Service: Lend a hand to customers, answer questions, and assist with purchases.
- Outdoor Beautification: Help keep the exterior of the shop looking great for passersby.
Please Note: This opportunity will take place both indoors and outdoors, so be prepared for all weather conditions.

- Physical Tasks: You’ll be lifting, bending, and reaching—so get ready to move!
- Skills: Communication, organization, friendliness, and flexibility (tasks may change depending on the day).
